Very good no problems thanks, May 21, 2012 by Gemma Paige John Visit Date:May 18, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "This was our fourth stay at the Centara Karon Beach Resort and it seemed to lack the atmosphere of previous visits. May staff have left or been replaced and many of the new lacked customer relations and interest.Breakfast is buffet and quite adequate however self service for coffee etc and no muesli detracted. The breakfast reception was poor and you often had to wait fairly long while they tried to find a table although it was clear several were vacant. Queuing for eggs very slow.Happy hours at the pool have changed to 5pm to 7pm (it was 4-6) and lack of people was evident which certainly detracted the atmosphere. Drink prices also appear to have risen. We had several mistakes with our bill and were key locked out of our room prior to our departure (their error).Room was adequately maintained. One of the 3 swimming pools was dirtied by someone and it took far to long for the matter to be rectified.Overall still a good resort however we were disappointed and will probably go elsewhere next time <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |

We will stay there again just wish they would give a soft bed option like the Pan Pacific KL" |
by Nadine Lee Morris Visit Date:October 20, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We have just come back from an 8 day stay at Centara Karon Resort & we have nothing bad to say! We went with 4 adults & 2 children (5 & 1 1/2), we stayed in the Lagoon area. Everything was perfect, the rooms were gorgeous & clean, the staff were gracious, friendly & happy to chat, the grounds & pool areas were one of the best we ve seen. Overall it was one of the most relaxing holidays we ve had as a family. Oh & the food? Delicious." |
by Trent & Leanne Gallagher Visit Date:March 7, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Overall Centara was a fab hotel. Great for kids. We used the kids club which was fantastic. Breakfast was nice, big variety though popular food like bacon was only offered every second day. They definately need more umbrellas around the pool as the those seats where taken at 9am. The only thing we didn t like was the fact that the housekeeping didn t leave us water on the 1st day and water and towels on the second day until we phoned reception, from then on everything was provided correctly. Staff are friendly and it is in a good locstion, close to nightlife and beach. Good happy hour for cocktails and also ice cream for the kids which was great. If you wanted to order food though there was no service around the pool, we had to get up and go an order it at the counter. That was diffcult with young kids who didn t want to get out of the pool, cause you can t order and watch swimming children. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |

by Raquibul Alam Visit Date:July 2, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We had a great 2-week stay. Great hotel if you have kids 3-14 and even older. Laguna has a nice family pool with enough activities to keep you busy. The Laguna rooms are old but large. The bathrooms are getting on a bit and the shower stall is annoying as the water runs onto the bathroom floor.Near the middle of our stay we were asked to move into another part of the hotel due to renovation work. This was bothersome but we appreciated the hotel staff s willingness to show us around several rooms to help us make our choice when we moved. The wing we moved to was the Tropix. The room and bathroom are much newer and with better facilities but the room size is dissapointingly smaller than the Laguna s older rooms. All in all though we weren t dissapointed with our move. The location is good with nice resaturants and shopping nearby. Angus O Tooles is right outside with good food and live sports. Its a bit of a distance to get the hotel entrance from some of the rooms (especially Tropix).Overall, a good experience. We will go back. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |

by Kati Lappalainen Visit Date:December 27, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Nice hotel and the location was very good. The Bonanza program was value for the money concerning the price level of the hotel. Hotel spa in marvelous. It was also nice that there was sport activities in hotel. Recomended for families." |
by Tan TK Visit Date:December 2, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Hotel location is good, though a bit far from the beach. Gym is well-equipped. There is only 1 point of beach towel collection when there are 3 swimming pools! Hotel needs to improve on this, because it is a turn-off. Music from the nearby bars can be really loud, and late into the night." |
by Olga Tulskaya Visit Date:November 23, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "*Hotel have good view but the reception and in room dinning were very very bad they hardly speak English so you never get what you asked for.. hotel staff only smile at you but they wont give you any service.*Main issue also is breakfast everyday is the same thing always eggs and eggs only one kind of cheese (cheddar)so the breakfast is very very boring and not creative at all.* Water is always yellow deep rust yellow.*Gym is very poor just 2 machines and a trade mil.*Water in room bar is 5 times more expensive(110 Baht) than outside which is not reasonable. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
by Sara Bratuschek Visit Date:August 4, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "It s localled in the outside of Karon. Lovely place! Like a djungle! We stayed in the section: Tropicale, in premium room at first floor. Just to step out in a big clean pool. Free coffe, tee, pastries during the days and pre-dinner you get free drinks if you stay in the Tropicale section! The room was ok. Expected a little bigger room but it s ok if you just have the room to sleep in. No DVD and no free internet in this room wich I think they can include in this part of area. Never met so friendly and nice staff at any hotel in Thailand, and I ve stayed in a lot! Wonderful place! Great breakfast bĂșffe! About 10minutes walk to the beach but it s worth, nice and clean beach. Absolutely recommend this hotel for single, pairs, familys! Thank You for a great stay! We ll be back!" |
by Beiwen Gu Visit Date:July 25, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: "was a terrible mistake to choose karon beach and this hotel. karon beach is too dirty and this hotel is so crappy although it seems to be very classic and highend at the first sight. but the room we stayed just awful, first day we saw a cockroach in our room and the noise from downstairs timber factory was terrible. the next day we changed to another room, but still small bugs crawling everywhere if you look carefully and i found a spider in my bed at the last day!! the toilet was always dirty yellowish. the cleaning lady make up our room was trying to steal our snacks. and yes they have 3 pools in the hotel, but every time i want to have a clean towel i have to walk at least 5 mins to this place near one pool. very bad arrangement! p.s. i stayed at terrace ocean view room , maybe others will be better." |

The Pools are great and breakfast very enjoyable beside the lagune pool. The Spa treatment was relaxing and comforting. The location is very convenient" |
