The resort is located on the beach which has a quiet serene energy. A nice quite oasis away from the hectic loud energy encountered at some places. This resort is also very set up for families with small children- a pool and lots of toys.Love the hammocks and beach lounge chairs. I like the small cabins with your own deck to sit on. I defineily recommend for a restful get away. wendy [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |

This low key gem is run by a family who were lovely and accomodating and they made sure we had a wonderful time. We will be going there again, the next time we are in Thailand." |
by Mark Henry Visit Date:June 2, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "A great place to stay, the staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful. Food is also very nice, especially the bbq which they will do for you on the beach. We had our 5 year old son with us and he enjoyed it, especially with the sea being so close and a small swimming pool on site (which to be honest is a better place to swim as the sea is very shallow and has a slimy kind of mud under the water rather than sand! The staff will also make a great fuss of your kids, they often brought our son a banana pancake in the morning (free) as he did not eat the Thai food too much.Theres also motorbikes to be rented quite cheaply and they will organise any trips for you.Only down-side is that Samui is expensive and to be honest theres little to do other than sun bathing.Tips, do not bother with the zoo a real rip off, took us 15 minutes to see everything and cost 750 Baht each! Most enjoyable trips were to the markets and some lovely Temples and Pagodas. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
Very good, February 23, 2009 by Hanna Lyons Visit Date:January 30, 2009 "Located in a very quiet part of Ban Rak, which was perfect for us. Rooms very clean and cleaned daily with really good air con! Bungalows right on the beach, with good food." |
January 28, 2009 by Michael Holland Visit Date:January 26, 2009 "It s hard to really recommend this hotel. The rooms are small and not very private, and the location is not great. Still, it is right on the beach, and was comfortable enough for one night. However, the Smile House down in Fisherman s Village is nicer, closer to restaurants, and cheaper. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
No problem at all, really pleased., September 15, 2008 by MATTHEW JAMES WELLS Visit Date:August 14, 2008 "Room was just what we wanted, right on the beach, although the bed was much too hard, I m not fussy but it was like a plank of wood! Very low doorway into the bathroom and cracked my head there a few times too - but overall I d definitely go back for the perfect location - free kayak to use in the day was great as it was too shallow to swim immediately out from the beach during August unless you waited until the evening. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
Quite fast., July 7, 2008 by Raj Singh Rathee Visit Date:June 29, 2008 "A quiet & peaceful resort with very friendly staff." |
perfect !, April 21, 2008 by Birgitte & Thomas Visit Date:March 18, 2008 "Our recent stay at Como Resort (our Honeymoon in March 2008) :just wanted to make sure that other people find this place as well. We just can t say enough good things about the staff, restaurant and the all around service.During our stay we just had to sit back and relax, everything was taken care of; from the morning meal until we went to bed we had such an excellent service. Thank you again all of you at Como Resort for making us feel so special. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
Very good, March 5, 2008 by Magnus Persson Visit Date:February 25, 2008 "If you are going to Koh Samui just to relax and kick back, this is a perfect place to do that. If you are there for the party, try another hotel and another beach as well. We liked Como very much, it was perfect for us." |
February 25, 2008 by stephanie and mick, London Visit Date:February 3, 2008 "A nice resort with character at the quiet end of Big Buddha beach which is fine enough as a base, good for families (so be prepared for a few kids if you don t have any!)we had a lovely clean and comfortable beach front room, but there was some construction happening to one side and those bungalows may be affected to some extent for a bit, tho we weren t bothered by it at all, so dont let that put you off. Good swimming, decent facilities and Daeng and her team are very friendly and helpful. And wow, what a G&T they serve! The village at Big Buddha is nothing special, but a short taxi ride takes you in to Bo Phut which is well worth a visit, with great restauarants etc. Very conveniently located for the airport (you can see the planes coming into land but hardly hear them), ferries and even Chaweng if you want to bother with that over developed tourist trap. We would definitely stay again as Como makes a pleasant and smooth transition in and out of the islands experience! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
February 11, 2008 by Helle Garber Visit Date:January 27, 2008 "Great little peacefull resort. Wonderfull for people seeking peace and quiet or for families with small kids. Clean, very kind staff, cute little pool, nice food in the restaurant, very basic and good. We had a great stay there." |
Really easy to book through with no complications., January 6, 2008 by Louise Whitehead Visit Date:December 28, 2007 "Very friendly, relaxing, family orientated accoummodation. Gardens leading on to beach front. Bunglows were extermely clean with good bathroom facilities. Short walk to shops, restaurants and Fishermans village (Bophut). Beach very seasonal." |
January 5, 2008 by BJorn Admeus Visit Date:December 10, 2007 "Was booked for 7 nights but checked out after 2. The price on this place is a ripoff and al about peace and quiet are wrong. The main road seams to go through the bungalows, the beach are dirty with full of dead fisch. Noo restaurants around. Bungalows are smelling bad and the shower is in the toilet. Much nicer places around for the same price! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
Very easy to use., November 13, 2007 by Victoria Christini Visit Date:November 8, 2007 "Early November is the rainy season so I had the place to myself. It was really nice and within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and the Big Buddha." |
Worked very well., September 30, 2007 by Hanna from Finland Visit Date:September 24, 2007 "We stayed two nights with 2 small kids at Como Resort, which is a basic accomodation with a very friendly and helpful staff. Although the rooms were not very fancy, I can recommend the place for people, who are looking for reasonably prized accomodation. The biggest minus was the swimming pool, which seemed to be so dirty, that we did not want to use it. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
