by Robert Scott Hinrichs Visit Date:May 19, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "At first appearance this looked to be a very nice hotel, However I very quickly discovered it was anything but nice. When booking the hotel the listing said there was a nice restaurant and an internet cafe located within the hotel which was some of the primary reasons I chose this hotel. After checking in I was taken to my room by the bell boy and although it was mid morning there were no windows to let the light in and no lights on to see where you were going. We walked a considerable way up the hall in the dark only to find the door to the room wide open and dirty dishes on the desk and the beds unmade and bath towels on the floor. I was quickly moved to a new room on the same floor, while waiting to get in the room I notice the door to the fire hose is open and the hose is going up the staits to the next floor. I get into the room and quickly find several serious issues, There is wires coming out of the ceiling in the shower, the eletrical outlet by the sink is pushed into the wall and bare wires are exposed, the electrical outlet behind the TV is just like the one in the bathroom. So I decide I will go to the restaurant for lunch. I get to the lobby and learn the restaurant is closed for remodeling and I can see all the equipment is outside on the pool deck in the rain. There is a 3 or 4 meter scaffolding in front of the restaurant doors. I think ok this is not a problem there is the Internet cafe, Wrong.... the cafe is also closed for remodeling. So the primary reasons I chose this hotel are not operational. Then I ask for a taxi to take me to town so I can get some food and I am told by the desk clerk they dont have a number for any taxi but I can just go out to the road and wait for one to go by and flag it down. I go back to my room and have a though the hotel must have room service even if they have to send out for it, so I try to call the front desk. The phone doesn t work. So I go down to the desk with the menu and tell them I want a cheese burger and a chef salad. I return to my room and after waiting almost an hour I go back to the front desk and ask if there is a problem? I am told then they dont have any beef or cheese. I then tell them I will take the chef salad minus the cheese and a club sandwich... after almost an hour the food arives. I get a ceasar salad and a fried egg sandwich with lettuce and tomato and I was charged 295 baht for it. I went down to the desk and asked if ther was an internet cafe in town and no one knew if there was or not. I then asked if there was any access to the internet I could use and I was led to one of the hotel office computers where i promptly booked another hotel and then left that hotel the next moring. This hotel has the potential to be a top rate hotel but as it stands now it should be romoved from the list. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Martina Baues Visit Date:March 12, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The service at the reception counter was bad, not polite, he was not informed about my booking. He did not speak with me, although I speak Thai.Breakfast: very simple, bad service." |
by John Dougan Visit Date:February 17, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Reservation included the breakfast buffet which offered both Thai and Western menus. Had a traditional Thai dinner with sister-in-laws and their husbands that was outstanding. Staff was helpful and friendly. Parking security was very helpful in finding me transport to my old army camp at NongTakoo. I had a great stay. I ll be back. Needs a fitness center or weight room." |

booked on internet, March 3, 2010 by Carsten Hallas Visit Date:March 1, 2010 Room: Service: Location: "Promotes itself as 4 star -should be 2 star and the rate adjusted accordingly.Landmark is a recognized brand that this facility is trying to associate with but there is no connection." |
by Visit Date:January 9, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Correct for 1000 bahts, even if the shower was not fixed to the wall and the hose too short. Careful with young children, the windows are very low and open wide.Nice restaurant next door." |
No problems whatsoever. Quick and easy., May 15, 2009 by WILLIAM DAVID HANKS Visit Date:May 13, 2009 "Saying this tired hotel sucks would be too nice. I've lived in Thailand for almost 30 years and traveled all over the country and this is about the worst place I've ever stayed. Old, dirty, and loud with next to no service. They charge for Wi-Fi and while the connection cuts out every few minutes, the timer figuring your cost does not. While a 3-year-old can sleep in his parents bed for free, they charged full rate for the miserable breakfast buffet which for the child consisted of one bite of burnt toast and jam.Bathtub leaked from improper or old sealant so the bathroom was quickly flooded and toilet ran all the time. No other rooms available though the parking lot was virtually empty.Would recommend staying either in Korat or one of the resorts near Khao Yai rather than this place. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
Booking service was great but we did not need the second room and wanted to call the day before to cancel it but our reservations said no refund., April 24, 2009 by Richard K. England Visit Date:April 21, 2009 "Enjoyed our stay with you. We came from the Northeast so it was a nice visit and went to Chok Chai Farms too! Our girls enjoyed the pool! A helpful hint would be to encourage your restaurant staff/cooks to be more careful with taking orders. Our breakfast was totally mixed up and overheard other customers saying the same thing. Other than that our stay was great!! Thanks so much!" |
Booking service was fine and there was no problems with the reservation, February 25, 2007 by Peter Gridneff Visit Date:February 19, 2007 "Good location and easy to find, a couple of minutes from center of town. This hotel has seen better days, the pool was in disrepair and looked like it had not been used for a couple of years. the restaurant doubles as karaoke bar, service was poor and the paintwork carpets etc don t look like they have been maintained for years. its a shame because the rooms are spacious and clean. I would not stay there again [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
