by Pierre SYREN Visit Date:November 20, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Have stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and then it was OK, but now the hotel is in very poor condition. We rented two rooms and they were in different condition. One room was leaking water from the air con over the bed and around the air con outlet was the mold. Cockroaches in both rooms and small insects in both the bedrooms and bathrooms. Major problems with the electronic door key that had to be reprogrammed almost every day at the reception. Safe box did not work but fixed it. In one room it did not work the hot water and we had to wait two days that it was fixed after had spoken to the manager. I was angry after having come back to the hotel after a long day s outing and no hot water worked and went down to reception and spoke to the night staff and entitle-up of the problem and she was stupid in the head and came up to the room with a bottle of drinking water. She is stupid and rude! Think that the hotel should be closed. It is in such poor condition that and you should not have to pay around 1000 Bath / night to stay there. Dirty and worn hotel and I do not recommend anyone to stay at Royal Asia Lodge.Located at the end of Soi 8 and it is far from major streets.Breakfast is the same every day and gets very boring to eat after 2 days.We will NEVER stay here again. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |

by TRACY NEAL DANIELS Visit Date:January 24, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Nice hotel, very pleasant stay. Great neighborhood. Away for noise and traffic. Pool, was very dirty, but that is minor. Staff was very friendly except for front desk. Rude at times and they act like they are doing you a favor. However, I will stay here again next time. Great value and great location in Sumkumvit." |
by Penelope Luchessa Visit Date:January 2, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "This was the second time we had stayed at the hotel during our trip. The rooms need repairs, the pool is dirty and super clorinated. The staff had told us we could do a late check out until our transfer arived then when we asked about it they said no we had to be out of the room. I would not reccommend this place." |
by Richard C Parker Visit Date:December 15, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The daytime recptionist at Royal Asia Lodge was the coldest, unfriendliest, most unwelcoming receptionist I have ever experienced in 40 years of worldwide travel!! She seemed annoyed at the mere presence of guests at the front desk. If management believes first impressions are important, they should fire her. The hotel was clean, but shabby and run-down. TV sets were 1970s vintage. Spend a few bucks more and go to Salil or Citadines, near Royal Asia. Both are very good. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
